Rohingya Exodus

Project Description

Rohingya are a Muslim minority living in Rakhine state of predominantly Buddhist Myanmar. In Myanmar, Rohingya are subject to the severe oppression. They are denied citizenship which makes them virtually stateless. In August 2017 the militant group ARSA attacked several outposts of Myanmar army, which led to incomparably stronger retaliation attack which left more than half of a million people on the flight. Rohingya are being driven from their homeland in Myanmar, but also have difficulties finding refuge in neighboring countries. Rohingya are therefore sometimes described as the world’s most unwanted minority.
