When Macedonia decided to guard its borders and limit the flow of the refugees into Europe, a refugee camp became to form on its Greek border. When the borders were completely closed in 2016 thousands of refugees became stranded in Idomeni with camp peaking at 15000 inhabitants. The living conditions in the camp were appalling, when the cold European winter finally subsided, it was replaced by rains and terrible gusts of wind coming from the Macedonian borders and breaking, again and again, the tents that were daily put up. No one wanted to believe that people have to endure such conditions being so close to Europe.
3 months of daily shooting left the output of thousands of pictures, almost none of them were published.
